HISTORICAL BACKGROUND OF THE CATHOLIC DIOCESE OF WIAWSO
The Catholic Diocese of Wiawso is a suffragan of the Archdiocese of Cape Coast. The Diocese was originally part of the Diocese of Sekondi-Takoradi which in itself was carved out of the Archdiocese of Cape coast in 1969.
The Catholic Diocese of Wiawso was created on 30th December 1999.

Most Rev. Samuel Nkuah-Boateng was born on May 6, 1968 to the late Opanin Michael Nkuah and Obaapanin Susana Ama Kyeah at Sefwi Bosomoiso near Sefwi Wiawso in the Western North Region of Ghana. [READ MORE]
